Founded in 1911, under the supervision of the Sisters of Charity of Mt. Saint Vincent and the De La Salle Brothers, our school continues to this day to serve young children in the city with quality education rooted in the Catholic Faith. Our religious education provides insights and experiences that allow each student, in light of individual needs, learning styles and academic differences, to practice love of neighbor, responsibility towards community and sharing of self.
All students have daily Religion classes which promote Catholic beliefs, values and traditions. Each day begins with morning prayer as a school community in our gymnasium. Students attend mass on the first and third Tuesdays and Holy days when in session, and are given service opportunities throughout the year.
Sacramental prepartion takes place in 2nd Grade for Reconciliation and First Communion, and in 7th Grade for Confirmation. Together with Ascension Parish, we also welcome those students who wish to be baptized in the Catholic faith, at any age.
