Welcome Back Pre-K 4!!!

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and a wonderful vacation!!!

This week the class will be introduced to the word "Habitat."  We will first be learning about the rainforest habitat.  We will then dive into the following habitats throughout the next few weeks: Arctic, Grasslands, Pond, and our own habitat New York City!! The class is very excited to learn about all the different animals!!

We also began the letter Hh this week and listened to our letter Hh sounds tape along with reading our letter Hh book!!

The children looked at many pictures of the letter Hh and choose their own letter Hh word to draw a picture of

and even wrote their chosen letter Hh word all by themselves!!

We will also be learning the number 5 this week!! We will read a number 5 book, practice writing the number 5, and

the children will also count 5 objects all on their own!! 

We will be reading many books this week about the rainforest, look at pictures of rainforest animals, choose rainforest animals that we would like 

to be, write rainforest animal words by ourselves, and also create graphic organizers detailing the different aspects of the rainforest!!
