Ascension School

"Bright Little Stars" is an educational program for babies 9 months to 2.5 years old based on the latest research on development and learning!

Each session includes fun and exciting activities with lots of innovative materials to support different aspects of child development.

The 16 week program began in February and was held on Tuesday mornings at Ascension School.  Dr. Patricia Vardin, Chair of the Early Childhood Department at Manhattanville College and consultant with Ascension's Early Childhood program, is the founder and Executive Director of "Bright Little Stars." Mrs. Renee Torchiano, former Ascension Pre-K teacher, is the head teacher and a graduate of the Manhattanville Early Childhood program. 

Our first semester of "Bright Little Stars" was a tremendous success and involved families from the parish and school community.  "Bright Little Stars" will be back in the Fall, 2010 with more fun, engaging and stimulating activities for toddlers.
